Gretna Middle

Gretna Middle School is located in beautiful and historic Gretna, Louisiana on the Westbank of Jefferson Parish. Gretna Middle serves a multi-ethnic student population of sixth, seventh, and eighth grade students. Our student body is as diverse as the neighboring city of New Orleans, but we have one thing in common - we are all TORNADOES!

Our school boasts football, baseball, and softball fields, in addition to a newly refurbished basketball court.

We offer our students and the community a fully staffed library, complete with a brand new Library Homepage that contains Follett Destiny software to enable students to access books and periodicals as well as online databases and research sites. We also provide Wireless Internet connections in each classroom, science laboratories, a weight room, a beautiful cafeteria, and we host the City of Gretna's state of the art Observatory. Gretna Middle is the site of the annual JPPSS's Superintendent's "A" Breakfast of Champions and received The Jefferson Parish Council Garden Clubs Clean Campus Award in May 2005.
