City Clerk

The City Clerk is appointed by the Mayor and confirmed by the Council. The City Clerk's Office is the officially designated record keeping agency for the City and is responsible for all public documents both current and archived.

The City Clerk oversees the planning, organization, supervision and coordination of the operations and activities of the City Clerk's Office. The City Clerk prepares agendas, attends and records the official proceeding of all Mayor and City Council meetings, attends civic appointed board and commission meetings and records meeting minutes. In addition, the City Clerk is the custodian of the City's seal, contracts, agreements, lawsuits, resolutions and ordinances, coordinates elections, maintains the City Code of Ordinances through the Municipal Code Corporation, records and peforms all legal advertising for the City as required by State laws; and provides general administrative and clericial assistance to the Mayor and City Council.
