TO REGISTER FOR YOUTH ATHLETICS:
1)      Complete a registration form (available at the playground)
2)      Bring proof of residence, such as a driver's license or current utility bill, when registering. 

Parks & Recreation's Youth Athletic Programs

Track & Field (Ages 6-17)
*        Registration begins in late January
*        Age determining date is March 1 of the current year
*        Track meets are held on the weekends

Soccer (Ages 6-15)
*        Registration begins in late January
*        Age determining date is March 1 of the current year
*        In some Soccer leagues, boys and girls will play  on the same team

Baseball/Softball (Ages 6-18)
*        Registration begins in mid March
*        Age determining dates for these sports are:
o       Boys-  August 1 of the current year
o       Girls - June 1 of the current year

Volleyball (Ages 6-17)
*        Registration begins in mid August
*        Age determining date is August 1 of the current year

Football (Ages 6-14)
*        Registration begins in mid August
*        Age determining date is August 1 of the current year

Cheerleading (Ages 6-15)
*        Registration begins in mid August
*        Age determining date is August 1 of the current year
*        Each year the West Bank sponsors a "Spirit Bowl" where playground squads compete against each other

Basketball (Ages 6-17)
*        Registration begins in November
*        Age determining date is September 1 of the current year

    Visit the Stars in Gretna! Our Observatory is sponsored by the Westbank Optimist Club and open most Mondays and Wednesdays from dusk to 9:00 p.m.
  • Register for the Gretna Art Walk

    Artists with orginal works are invited to take part in the Gretna Art Walk on the second Saturday of each month - Sept. thru May from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
