Water

The city has its own water production facility (located in the heart of Gretna), that produces an average of 2,500,000 gallons of drinking water a day to over 6,000 customers.

The Water Treatment Plant has been in operation for over 70 years producing potable water that must meet stringent Federal, State, and Local Regulations, and is manned by State Certified Environmental Operators.

Providing water service is an essential part of daily life. The cities water department is committed to doing just that.

If you have a problem with your water service, such as, a service tap water leak (meter leak), low water pressure, no water (other than described below), or report a water main break in the 70053 Zip Code area, please call 363-1540.

NOTE:

The city is only responsible for providing water service from the water main/mains to the customers discharge side of the meter. For more information please call 363-1540.

If your service has been disrupted do to a billing issue or you would like to apply for new service, please call Water Billing, Mon-Fri 8am-4pm 363-1561.
