City of Gretna Closures & Suspensions

Due to the impending weather of Hurricane Ida, the following City buildings will be closed on

Monday, August 30, 2021

Gretna City Hall
740 2nd Street

Gretna Clerk of Court
327 Huey P. Long Avenue

Ticket payments may still be made online at Tickets.GretnaClerkofCourt.com

The City of Gretna will not hold Mayor’s Court on
Monday, August 30. Mayor’s Court, as well as normal business hours for
Gretna City Hall and Gretna Clerk of Court will resume on
Tuesday, August 31.

Garbage collection will be suspended on Monday, August 30. Addresses missed on Monday
be picked up on their next normal day, Thursday, September 2.
Please make sure that your garbage cans and recycling bins are put away and secured.

All city departments, including the Gretna Police Department and the David Crockett Fire
Department, are prepared and stand ready for this storm.

We will send updates regarding future closures and conditions as we receive them. For all city
service emergencies, please call (504) 363-1500. For any other emergencies, please dial 911.
As always, we appreciate your due diligence by heeding all local warnings and doing your part
to ensure that our community remains safe and secure during Hurricane Ida.
