All City of Gretna offices and buildings will be closed on Monday, September 1, 2025, in observance of Labor Day, and will reopen on Tuesday, September 2 at their regularly scheduled times. All City services will be suspended on 9/1 except for water emergencies, which may be reported to (504) 363-1540. There will be no garbage service on Monday, September 1 and Monday/ Thursday service will resume on Thursday, September 4th.

Enjoy fresh local produce and crafts at the Gretna Farmers Market, every Saturday from 8:30 AM to 12:30 PM, rain or shine, under the covered Gretna Market Building, Huey P. Long Avenue between 3rd and 4th Streets in historic downtown Gretna.
