City of Gretna offices closed on Memorial Day-
Monday, May 26, 2025

All City of Gretna offices and buildings will be closed on Monday, May 26, 2025, in observance of Memorial Day, and will reopen on Tuesday, May 27, at their regularly scheduled times. All City services will be suspended on 5/26 except for water emergencies, which may be reported to (504) 363-1540.

There will be no garbage service on Monday, May 26. Monday/Thursday service will resume on Thursday, May 29, with an extra truck on the street to accommodate excess trash. The River Birch offices will be closed on Monday, 5/26, so please report any issues on Tuesday, 5/27.

While all Gretna parks will remain open on Monday, May 26, the Mel Ott Multipurpose Center will be closed, and all organized recreation will be suspended.
