All City of Gretna offices and buildings will be closed on Monday, September 1, 2025, in observance of Labor Day, and will reopen on Tuesday, September 2 at their regularly scheduled times. All City services will be suspended on 9/1 except for water emergencies, which may be reported to (504) 363-1540. There will be no garbage service on Monday, September 1 and Monday/ Thursday service will resume on Thursday, September 4th.

UDC Public Forum May 15

City officials will be hosting a public forum on May 15 at 5:00 pm for citizens to learn about these changes. In the meantime, citizens are encouraged to view the and Summary of Changes, Full text of the UDC and Zoning Map available here.
