PRESS ALERT CITY OF GRETNA For Immediate Release September 12, 2024 For more information, contact (504) 363-1500 City of Gretna – Post Hurricane Francine Updates: City Services and Council Meeting All City of Gretna offices and buildings are closed today, but will reopen on Friday, September 13, at their regularly scheduled times. However, if you have a city emergency, we are answering the phones today. You may report these by calling 504-363-1500. Garbage service has been suspended today, but is expected to resume tomorrow. Those who do not receive garbage service today will be serviced on Saturday. River Birch Renewable Energy will begin picking up storm debris tomorrow. Please contact River Birch directly with any large debris concerns following the storm (504-215-8020). Gretna’s monthly City Council Meeting has been rescheduled for Friday, 9/13, at noon.
